The Predictive Mover: A Pain Science Webinar w/Oliver Crossley, PT

When it comes to sensation and perception, we no longer think of the brain and nervous system as being a passive interpreter of bottom-up sensory information that fuels our conscious experience. Predictive processing now shows us that our expectations and prior experiences/beliefs have considerable impact on what we think and perceive moment to moment. So much so that we can experience considerable pain without any tissue damage. In this webinar we will take a brief deep dive into how our brain and nervous system uses prediction in the sensory experience of pain and movement, and what that means for your yoga and movement practice

Oliver is a physiotherapist, a Yoga practitioner and teacher, a mindfulness practitioner, surfer, mover, and movement optimist! He will take as many of your questions as possible after his presentation and a replay will be available for 7 days to those unable to attend live. It is $25 USD for non-members and will be free for Playground members (the recording will remain in our library for your continued access). JOIN HERE
