Yoga embodies awareness; it is integration. And it doesn't stop when we leave the sticky mat. In this weekend workshop we will explore how a mindful, embodied, yet playful approach to our yoga practice can not only inform and improve our asana practice, but also our functional movement and everyday life. The practice will be therapeutic, integrative, and directly applicable to daily life activities. We will focus on some basic yet essential principles that underlie our capacity to not only do yoga postures and breathing work, but to move about in the world in a fully functional and sustainable manner. We will learn how to creatively fold the practices and principles into your yoga practice, as well as all of your movement activities. But most importantly we will learn how a curious, mindful, and embodied awareness can enrich and support us as go we are out and about—at work and at play in the world.
